Continuous Simulation

Continuous mode uses global.duration: 0s or no positive --duration.

The process runs until SIGTERM or SIGINT. It uses a ticker based on rate_per_second, not a busy loop.

Current lab-safe default:

• Four exporters: NetFlow v5, NetFlow v9, IPFIX, sFlow v5.
• Four ticks per second across all exporters.
• Normal enterprise traffic dominant.
• Low-weight security scenarios.
• Metrics on :9130.
